What is CARAM
Centre for Advanced Research on
Alternative Medicine (CARAM) is a philanthropic organization of Orissa
with the area of operation starting from Orissa has covered the
beneficiaries through out the country. It is started & registered
operation from 08.02.2000 and since then is continuing as a leader in
the field of health & hygiene in the state. It is a common name in the
mouth of the people for its continuous and uninterrupted service, it
has provided to the people of the locality and also the outsiders.
The organization was established in
1994 as a non-Government organization with the objective to create
awareness about the health care of rural poor & tribal people with
special emphasis to maternal &child health by way of educating these
persons about disease, sanitation & immunization etc. Besides this,
taking initiatives to guide the people to boost their socio economic
scenario by way of literacy mission, self employment generation &
adaptation of scientific farming.
Vision :
1.To generate awareness about the
importance of health care in people belonging to below poverty line
giving more importance to women and children of the state. 2. To
explore ways and means to provide affordable treatment for Tribal
people. 3. Provision of Mobile Clinical facilities for inaccessible
localities. 4. Conducted training programme on alternative mode of
therapies in and around Bhubaneswar. The organisation is associated
with many philanthropic society and charitable organisation for
socio economic upliftment of the poor people in the state of Orissa.
The organisation has taken up training programme of Anganawadi
Worker about fast-aid, management for safe delivery, infant care
along with alternative medicine for treatment.
Mission :
CARAM is a Philanthropic
organisation rendering services for last fifteen (15) years in
urban and inaccessible areas. The organisation has fulfilled its
commitment by providing basic health facilities to people in need.
The organisation has taken up projects like provision of ambulatory
clinic facilities, treatment camp at patient’s door step and
setting a pathology lab for routine diagnosis with view to fulfill
its welfare programme as mandated.
